Welcome to our new website!

Though sections of our website are still under construction, the main focus of our website, renewable energy (RE), is far enough along that we can now acknowledge our existence. My blog is intended to provide those interested with more updated information. My fellow partners and co-owners of Seacoast Consulting Engineers explore all types of RE and energy related systems. Our evaluations and designs have included wind, solar electric, solar thermal, geothermal and co-generation. Everyday is a learning experience for us including working with and/or learning from truly outstanding individuals, many of them pioneers in their respective RE fields.

How we got to this point, including how our partnership is organized, may be of interest to anyone considering starting an energy related consulting business, or a business in general. My partners and I now own and operate two separate, but related, companies. Hey, once you figure out how to create one business, the next one is a piece of cake. I can share with you our problems and successes in creating and operating businesses. And I hope to receive input, including comments and recommendations from you. This is still very much a new learning experience for me, especially learning to be a web master for our websites. This blog is also very new to me and there will be some bugs to work out as I set up the blog and set up a way for you to add your comments.

Dedicated individuals are out there creating awesome open source software, making it available for anyone to use for free. This free open source software and the associated free technical assistance is the reason we were able to create the Better Earth Energy Company (Bee Co) website at very little cost. Which is good since we're providing our RE and energy related advice for free.
